Welcome to the Village of Folsom Website. Our quaint and cozy village is located in the rolling hills and the towering pines of Northwest St. Tammany Parish sixty miles north of New Orleans, La.

Folsom was established in 1904 at the Alma Post Office which was located 12 miles north of Covington. George N. Fendlason, the village founder, is said to have named the village after President Grover Cleveland's wife, Francis Folsom Cleveland.

By 1908, the village had made such significent progress that a plan was set to begin its incorporation. Finally, on March 12, 1915, the Village of Folsom was incorporated into the State of Louisiana.

Today, Folsom is a community well known for its flourishing plant nurseries, and beautiful horse farms. It's character and country charm is cherished and appreciated by residents and vistors alike. Folsom is a great place to visit, and its the best place to live.

Again, we welcome you to explore our website. Learn about our village and visit us soon. Folsom has plenty to offer and we hope our southern hospitality comforts you!
